Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur The department of Environmental Sciences was established in 1992 with an intake of 24 students. The course received financial support from the University Grants Commission in 1994 under the Emerging Areas Assistance Programme. With the grants received from the UGC and the matching grants from the University, the department procured all the instruments necessary for training and a large collection of books, encyclopedias and journals. It has full-fledged laboratories, classrooms, and seminar hall and computer lab.
