It was founded in the year 1980 by donations from Sagi Rama Krishnam Raju., The college was accorded permanent affiliation by Andhra University from 1987 for four-year degree courses. The college is presently affiliated to JNTU, Kakinada from 2017-18 admitted batch. The College was registered under the section 2 (f) of the UGC Act and it is eligible to receive central assistance under section 12 (b) of UGC. The College is recognized by the AICTE (All India Council for iTechnical Education) and the Institution of Engineers (India)., The College has a cluster of beautiful and spacious buildings with state of art laboratories, class rooms, seminar halls and play ground.
