Candidates can apply for the GATE exam through the official online portal known as the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS). During the application process, candidates must register on the portal, fill out personal and academic details, upload required documents such as photographs, signatures, and eligibility certificates, and pay the application fee online. After submission, candidates should download and keep a copy of the application form for future reference. The application window typically opens several months before the exam date.
