How does the 'Two-Paper Combination' rule work?

Candidates can appear for either one or two test papers. However, the second paper cannot be any random choice; it must be selected from the 'Approved Combinations' list provided by the organizing institute (IIT Guwahati for 2026). For example, a Computer Science (CS) student can choose Data Science & AI (DA), Electronics (EC), Mathematics (MA), Physics (PH), or Statistics (ST) as their second paper. If you choose two papers, you must pay the application fee for both, and the exam center for the second paper will be in the same city as the first, though the specific venue might differ.
