Most postgraduate medical degree programs such as MD (Doctor of Medicine) and MS (Master of Surgery) have a duration of three years. During this period, doctors undergo advanced academic training, clinical practice, and research in their chosen specialization. Some diploma courses, where available, usually have a duration of two years. After completing these programs, doctors may choose to pursue further super-specialty training such as DM or MCh.
