For admission to postgraduate programs (M.Tech/M.E./Ph.D.) at IITs, NITs, and other universities, the GATE score is valid for 3 years from the date of the result announcement. However, for recruitment in Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) like ONGC, IOCL, and GAIL, most organizations only consider the score from the current year (validity of 1 year). If a candidate has multiple valid scorecards, they can use the one with the best score for their applications.
