CAT (Common Admission Test) is a national-level MBA entrance examination conducted annually on a rotational basis by one of the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) on behalf of all IIMs. It is a computer-based test (CBT) used primarily for admission to MBA and PGDM programs offered by the 20 IIMs and over 1,200 other management institutes across India. CAT scores are also used by several non-IIM institutes such as FMS Delhi, SPJIMR Mumbai, MDI Gurgaon, IITs, and other top B-schools, though their selection criteria may vary.
