TANCET (Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test) is a state-level entrance examination conducted by Anna University, Chennai on behalf of the Government of Tamil Nadu. The exam is held annually for admission to postgraduate professional courses offered by colleges in Tamil Nadu. Through TANCET, candidates can seek admission to MBA, MCA, ME, MTech, MArch, and MPlan programmes offered by Anna University departments, Anna University-affiliated colleges, and other government and government-aided institutions in Tamil Nadu. The exam is typically conducted in offline (pen-and-paper) mode at designated centres across the state.
