Primary answer
The All India Quota (AIQ) refers to 50% of the total seats in government medical colleges across India that are filled through a centralized counselling process conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). Candidates from any state can compete for these seats based on their NEET PG rank. The remaining 50% of seats are filled by the respective state counselling authorities under the state quota. AIQ seats also include reservations for categories such as SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and PwBD according to central government norms.
