The MAT 2026 exam consists of 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) to be completed in 120 minutes (2 hours). The paper is divided into five equal sections: Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skills, Data Analysis & Sufficiency, Intelligence & Critical Reasoning, and Indian & Global Environment. Each section contains 30 questions. The marking scheme follows a +1 for every correct answer and a negative marking of -0.25 for every incorrect response. Unattempted questions receive zero marks. While the raw score is out of 150, it is later scaled to a composite score ranging from 199 to 801.
