Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD candidates as per UGC guidelines). The degree must be of minimum three years’ duration. Final-year students can also apply provisionally. Some colleges (like IIMs) require a valid score in CAT or other specified exams; others may accept work experience as an added advantage but not mandatory. There is no upper age limit for most MBA programs in West Bengal, except for defense or specific sponsored programs.
