Candidates who are currently studying in the 3rd year or higher years of any undergraduate degree program or have already completed a government-approved degree in engineering, technology, architecture, science, commerce, or arts are eligible to appear for the GATE exam. Accepted degrees include B.E., B.Tech, B.Arch, B.Sc (Research), B.S., M.Sc, MCA, and other equivalent programs. There is no minimum or maximum age limit to appear for the GATE exam.
