CUET-UG follows a multiple-choice question (MCQ) based computer-based test (CBT) format. The exam is divided into three sections: Section I (Language Test – IA for 13 languages and IB for 20 languages), Section II (Domain-Specific Subjects), and Section III (General Test). Each question carries 5 marks, and 1 mark is deducted for each incorrect answer. The number of questions and duration vary by section and subject as notified by NTA in the information bulletin.
