Candidates who are Indian citizens or Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) and have obtained a primary medical qualification from a medical institution outside India are eligible to appear for FMGE. The medical degree must be recognized by the respective country's medical regulatory authority and listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools (WDOMS). Candidates must also possess documentary proof of completion of their medical course before applying for the exam.
