To be eligible for the CAT exam, a candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks or an equivalent CGPA.

Key Rules:
  • General, EWS, and NC-OBC candidates: Must possess a minimum of 50% marks.
  • SC, ST, and PwD candidates: Must possess a minimum of 45% marks.
  • Professional Degrees: Candidates with completed professional qualifications like CA, CS, or ICWA with the required percentage are also eligible.

Exceptions:
  • Final Year Students: Candidates appearing for the final year of their Bachelor’s degree or those awaiting results can also apply. However, if selected, they must submit a certificate from their principal/registrar stating they have completed all requirements by the specified date (usually June 30 of the admission year).
