      Accepting the popular demands of a professional management institute, the government of Assam sponsored the Assam Institute of Technology (AIM), in 1988. It is the sole autonomous management institute in the country to be sponsored by any state government in India. The institute aims to become a centre of excellence by carrying out teaching, training research, consultancy and networking in the field of management. Assam Institute of Management dreams of a developed North-East so that the youths can have global co-operate environment.
