It was established on the 29th day of August,1974 by a team of selfless and untiring social workers and lovers of education of the greater Goreswar locality.Betna Siksha and Krishi Unayan Sangha (Betna Education And Agriculture Development Organization) was a major pioneering force in the venture that provided funds to develop the required initial infrastructure for the college after it had functioned from temporary sites for sometime at the beginning.
