The course is designed to give you an understanding of Electronics & Instrumentation Systems and Automation Principles. The focus is on the usage of computers for control. Embedded control, virtual instrumentation and instrumentation in core sector industries are also included in the course. The EIE Department equips students with knowledge of instruments and their management.

Research Focus :
A research coordination committee chaired by the Head of the Department, along with two faculty members, coordinates academic research in the department.

Infrastructure :
The department has requisite number of faculty members, striving to incorporate excellence in theory and practice. Each lab is constructed with latest technology. The laboratories are being continually upgraded and equipment reflecting the latest technology is being added. Each lab is equipped with demo experiments along with university prescribed experiments.
Electrical Measurements & Instrumentation Lab :
In this lab we have facilities to carry out various other labs related to analog electronics circuits and digital electronics circuits. The lab is well equipped with measurement tool and kits.
Industrial Instrumentation Lab :
In this lab, experiments related power and industrial electronics experiment. Also experiment related data acquisition system carried out here.
Process Control Systems Lab :
This lab is housed with number of personal computers to carry out experiments related to micro processor and micro controller. Also in this lab experiment related to digital signal processing also carried out here. Sophisticated DSP kits are interfaced with computers for the experiments related to DSP lab.
Transducer Engineering Lab :
In this lab experiments related to process control and process instrumentation carried out. This lab is well equipped with real time PC based Process Control Loops on flow, level, pressure, temperature control system. Also experiments related to control system engineering/ Instrumentation carried out in this lab.
