R.D. & D.J. College, Munger was established in the year 1898 on the eve of Diamond Jubilee Celebration of the then Empress of England, ‘Queen Victoria’. In the year 1946, the College was renamed as RAJA DEOKINANDAN & DIAMOND JUBILEE COLLEGE, MUNGER. In the year 1964 it became a constituent unit of T. M. Bhagalpur University, Bhagalpur. It was recognized by the UGC New Delhi under the section 2(f) of the UGC act. It is a multifaculty Co-educational and pioneer institute of general education in the state of Bihar. The Principals of this College were luminous personalities of their time and the College progressed very well under their able guidance.
