Located in With the rapidly changing economic environment and the growing industrialization the need for professional training in Management is acutely felt by Late Lalit Narayan Mishra Ji and Dr. Jagannath Mishra. In the year 1973, under the able guidance of Dr. Jagannath Mishra, L.N.Mishra College of Business Management was established in accordance with the vision of Late Lalit Narayan Mishra, former Union Minister of Railways, Govt. of India. The college was formally inaugurated on February,11, 1974 by His Excellency Sri R. D. Bhandare, the then Governor of Bihar. Keeping in view the excellent performance of the college in all corners the State Govt. and University Grants Commission provided the college the “Autonomous” status in the year 1985 on the recommendations of parent university. Consequent upon being granted Autonomous status under Article 73 of Bihar Universities Act, 1976 the Administration of the College has been vested in the Governing Body and various Boards to conduct the affairs of the college vide Chapter XVII Section 58(A) of University Statute., Since then the college never looked behind for developmental activities and achieving its objectives. In the year 1994 the college got approval for conducting Two Year Full Time MBAand Three Year Part Time MBA courses with intake capacity of 120 students each by the apex body- All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. In the year 2002 the college got the permission from AICTE, New Delhi and State Govt. to start MCA Course at its campus on the recommendation of the parent university. Again in 2003 the state Govt. on the recommendation of B.R.A.Bihar University, granted permission to start BBA and BCA courses at this campus., The college is spread over a majestic six acres of land with the total built – up area comprising30,000 Sq. ft. The college is dedicated in providing all the programmes with the help of State-of-the-art computer lab with Internet facility and a well stocked library with World Wide Connectivity. The achievement ratio of excellent pedagogy has led to placement of its students at leading corporate houses over the country as well as overseas. Over the decade it has achieved excellence at par with the present economic scenario. The Business India Magazinein its all India survey of management institutions rated this college as B+ School. In a suvey Conducted by Competition Sucess Review (CSR) The College has been declared as the Centre of Excellence for learning . The college has been successfully churning out roughly 600 professionals, both men and women from Bihar on yearly basis, all of them simultaneously contributing to the ever growing reputation of the college through out the country..
