Located in State Institute of Education Technology, Patna was established on 10.9.1985 to promote quality in primary education through INSAT-1B. The institute is fully funded by the Union Ministry of Human Resource Development and functions under the administrative control of the Education Department of the Govt. of Bihar. The institute is registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1861 and became an autonomous institute on 14.1.1994. It is located in the campus of the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) along the banks of river Ganges in Patna., Management The institute has a full-time Director who acts under the guidance of the Executive Committee with the Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Dept. of HRD, Govt. of Bihar as the chairperson of the Institute.The present day Bihar where we are located is one of the major Union States of the Republic of India.
