Department of Computer Science

The Department of Computer Science started functioning in Aug 2011 with Dr. E Balagurusamy, former Vice Chancellor, Anna University, Chennai, formally inaugurating its activities. The Department offers MSc Computer Science with specialization in Intelligent Systems.The courses are designed with the objective of equipping the students for the IT industry and for streamlining them for taking up research in Intelligent Systems. State of the art computing facilities are available in the Department.

Currently the department has two labs – General Computing Lab (for general computing requirements) and Signal Processing and Intelligent Systems Lab (for advanced research in Intelligent Systems). Both the labs have high-end Apple i-Mac and Apple Mac Pro systems. The Intelligent Systems Lab is also equipped with high-end research tools and software.The Department also offers a PhD programme in Computer Science.
