Located in Govt Polytechnic, Kabirdham has been established in 2007. At Present Institute caters technical education at diploma in three disciplines of engineering. At Present it is functioning at old Jila Panchayat building , Kabirdham. Ten Acers land at Lalpurkala village near Kawardha township is allotted for the construction of institute building., The institute was established on 2007, to meet the emerging need of skilled diploma engineers and for the development of technical education in the distant tribal area of Chhattisgarh, Institutes run diploma programme for Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Diploma in Electronics & Telecommunication And Diploma in Computer Science & Engineering. Each diploma programme have approval of 30 seats intake at First year. Student can also take admission in lateral entry., At present there are 03 branches of engineering with an intake of 30 students in each branch. The total intake of students per year is 90. Currently, there are more than 115 students pursuing diploma in this premier institute. The institute has its own building located in a lush green campus which is spread over 15 acres of land. The campus comprises of more than 40 rooms and fully equipped laboratories with most modern equipment based on latest technology for different disciplines of engineering., The institute also has different workshops, library with more than 40000 books, reading room, conference hall, sports ground and beautiful garden in each block. Currently the institute has 10 highly qualified lecturers and 13 supporting staff dedicatedly committed to impart quality technical, academic and professional education in different streams of engineering., The institute has a girls hostel of 50 beds and there are 01 quarters for accommodation of Hostel warden., The diploma courses of this institute are recognized by All India Council for Technical Education AICTE. Presently, this institute is affiliated to Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekananda Technical University CSVTU, Bhilai. The institute enjoys strong relationship with major industries of Chhattisgarh., It is firmly committed to its responsibility towards the society. Many social service projects are undertaken like Community , Government of India and Chhattisgarh Government with a view to act as focal point of development for rural community to generate self-reliance among under privileged and unemployed rural youth.
