B.A Hindi Course (B.A Hindi) - Shivaji College

B.A Hindi Course (B.A Hindi) The Department of Hindi at Shivaji College offers both B.A.(Hons) Hindi and M.A. (Hindi). Hindi is also taught as a language, credit, or a qualifying subject in other Undergraduate programmes. Every faculty member has a specialization in particular field. These include Modern Poetry, Hindi Kahani, Medieval Poetry, Drama, Bhasha Vigyan, Journalism, and Mass Media. The contribution of faculty members has been recognized in the area of Hindi teaching and research at national and international levels. The faculty members also regularly participate in various academic programmes organized by the University and the UGC. Academic/Extra-curricular Activities The Department of Hindi organizes Seminars, Natak, Kavi Sammelan every year to enhance academic and literary interests of the students. This is done so under the aegis of “Sahitya Sangam Society”. The faculty members then employ multimedia, computer, internet, and films etc., to back-up the classroom teaching.
