Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics (B.A Business Economics)
The BA(H) Business Economics is an internationally recognized professional course being offered by the university of Delhi at the undergraduate level. In Shivaji college the course of Business Economics was introduced in the year 2005.
The course imparts comprehensive knowledge in diversified fields of Economics Statistics, Quantitative Techniques, Finance, Marketing; Computers etc .It is designed in a way that keeps the students abreast with changing business scenario. Our students have majored in Finance and International Business Environment.
Apart from a rigorous academic course structure, the department organizes seminars where eminent speakers are invited to share their experiences. This ensures that the students understand and appreciate the business issues and complexities. To prepare them for confronting the live business situations, we put them through Case studies and presentations as an integral part of the program. The department also organizes personality development program for the all round development of the students.The college also organizes industrial trips so that the students get a feel of actual work environment of the industry. As a result of these initiatives our students have been consistently giving excellent results and our college is ranked among the top colleges of DU offering this course.
Industial Trips
For interaction with the industry and to get a feel of actual work environment, regular industrial tours are organized by the department for its students In the past the students have visited many organizations like Flex industries Ltd., Mohan Meakin Limited and Parle Industries.
In October 07 an industrial trip to Dehradun – Mussorie was also organized where the students visited Cooper Pharmaceuticals factory and the prestigiousLal Bhahadur Shastri Academy.
In 2008 students visited Omaxe Auto Ltd., Manesar and Tera Com ltd., Rudrapur, Panthnagar.
