Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) Admission to B.Ed. is done through Joint Entrance Test conducted by Panjab University, Chandigarh. Applications for Entrance Test are invited from the desirous candidates by publishing advertisements in the leading newspapers. All the requisite details of Entrance Test and the eligibility criteria are notified and made available in the prospectus published and issued by the University/institution as authorised, to conduct the Entrance Test, by Chandigarh Administration, Chandigarh and as per NCTE Norms. After declaration of the result of the Entrance Test, the eligible candidates are called for the interview as per counseling schedule through the leading newspapers. Candidates are required to reach the venue of counseling well before the time and fill in fresh application forms (available at the place of counseling), complete in all respects (in his/her own handwriting) along with all the required documents and submit the same to the admission committee at the time of interview. The admission to B.Ed. Course is made on the basis of the relative merit of the candidates in the Entrance Test, subject to the availability of seats in a particular subject combination, as per rules and as per reservation policy of Chandigarh Administration, Chandigarh. A candidate applying in the reserved categories shall carefully indicate his/her claim for only one category in the admission form. In case the candidate wrongly indicates claim for more than one reserved category, the one claimed in the first instance shall be considered. No change of category will be entertained/permitted in the application form or otherwise at a later stage. Note Admission in the B.Ed. course is subject based. At the time of admission each candidate shall opt for two teaching subjects. A candidate can opt for only those teaching subjects, which he/she has studied at graduation/post-graduation level. Candidates who have passed additional subjects at graduation level must ensure that they are opting only those teaching subjects marks of which are taken into account for the purpose of calculating the percentage of marks at the graduation level.
