Future Scope : Computer Science and Engineering is a discipline that combines both Electrical engineering and Computer Science. Computer engineers usually have training in electrical engineering, software design and hardware- software integration instead of only software engineering or electrical engineering. Computer engineers are involved in many aspects of computing, from the design of individual microprocessors, personal computers, and supercomputers, to circuit design. This field of engineering not only focuses on how computer systems themselves work, but also how they integrate into the larger picture.
Computer engineers are involved in writing software and firmware for embedded microcontrollers, designing VLSI chips, designing analog sensors, designing mixed signal circuit boards, and designing operating systems. Computer engineers are also suited for robotics research which relies heavily on using digital systems to control and monitor electrical systems like motors, communications, and sensors.
About Department : The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Priyadarshini Institute of Engineering and Technology (PIET) is established in the year 2002 with an intake of 60. It is approved by All India council for Technical Education, New Delhi .Director of Technical Education, Mumbai, and is affiliated to Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University. During a Short span of Six Years, Department has established itself as one of the promising department and recently Accredited by National Board of Accreditation, AICTE, New Delhi.
The Department has well qualified and motivated faculty members and support staff and its laboratories are adequately equipped with state-of- the-art facilities. The Department has state of art laboratories for Computing, which provides excellent, centre for learning. The Department has a Student’s Forum - “ACES” (Association of Computer Engineering Students) and it periodically organizes Seminars, Guest Lectures, Aptitude tests, Group Discussions, Industrial Visits, Workshops, Symposia and Extra curricular activities for the benefit of students.
