Introduction
This is an engineering discipline that involves the application of principles of physics with: design and analysis, manufacturing and maintenance of mechanical systems. It requires a concrete understanding of key concepts including Mechanics, Kinematics, Thermodynamics and Energy. Practicing mechanical engineers, use these principles to design and analysis various components of automobiles, aircrafts, buildings, bridges, industrial equipments and machinery. They also take a lead role in managing industries and business organization. Further research in new frontiers such as Nanotechnology is also supported by this discipline.
