A strong foundation in mathematics is laid by extensive teaching methodology. Besides being made to be competrnt in the subject, their problem solving ability, logical thinking and analytical reasoning skills are tuned so that they are capable of emerging successful in today’s highly competitive and challenging environment. The Mathamatics Association commenced its activities on October 15, 2009 with a guest lecture on “Time Complexity” by Dr. Indra Rajasingh, Head, Department of Mathamatics, Loyola College. In order to encourage students to look beyond the curriculum and explore the unknown, a puzzle contest was held on February 26, 2010 in which students participated with great enthusiasm. Other competitions conducted were Dumb Charades, Numerical Aptitude Test, Sudoku and a Math Quiz. Students also participated in inter-collegiate Maths competitions.
