Department of Computer Science & Engineering The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was established in 1986. The department is headed by Prof. Vasantrao T Desai. Our endeavor is to make the CSE Department an important regional and national resource center for the development of computing and IT systems and applications. The department has 19 well qualified faculty members (8 AP’s (5 ME/M. Tech, 1 Ph. D. 1 (Ph.D.), 11 Lecturers). The students of the Department are working on platforms like Mobile Agent, Image Processing, Cryptography and VLSI etc. The students of this department have always found placement in high profile organizations. Average placement for the department has been 80% for the last 3 years. This department has MOU with EMC2 for training of faculty & students in the field of Storage Devices, MOU with Nokia India for training faculty & students in the field of mobile communication. This department is involved in consultancy service to City Corporation, Belgaum. Department is conducting every year for technical symposium under the title of “Cynosure”. The department is Providing facilities like IBM Cloud Computing, E-Vidya video streaming & mail server also established exclusive server room. The Department provides extensive computing resources for research and education. The department laboratories offer the latest hardware and software, this includes more than 200 high-performance computers. The department maintains specialized servers for Database clients & Linux based workstations including File access servers. Major Laboratories are Windows/Microprocessor Laboratory Linux / Sun Solaris Laboratory Computer Vision & Object Technology Laboratory
