Diploma in Medical Technology Laboratory is a two years course. The training is aimed at equipping the candidate to carry out all the routine and some of the sophisticated diagnostic procedures. This is a short duration course, which gives immediate employment. A person qualified in DMLT can get job as Laboratory Technician, in hospital and pathology labs. Training For practical Training the student are posted in various labs and are engaged in day to day work with senior technicians under supervision of pathologists. Following major laboratory disciplines are included in the syllabus in addition to basic sciences. DMLT I Year - Anatomy, Physiology, Applied histology, Clinical and Analytical Biochemistry, Medical lab training. DMLT II Year - Microbiology, Serology, Histology, Cytology, Haematology, Blood banking, Clinical pathology, Para cytology, Medical lab training.
