MASTER OF COMPUTER APPLICATIONS - (MCA)
(Affiliated to the University of Pune, Recognized by AICTE, New Delhi)
A three year full-time Programme in Computer Applications providing an extensive coverage of the latest IT curriculum. Ideally suited to the student who wants to make a career in the fast growing IT Industry. On successful completion of the MCA Programme, a candidate will have numerous job opportunities in India and also has scope to join a IT Company anywhere in the world.
ELIGIBILITY:
A candidate is declared eligible for the MCA Programme, if he / she has passed the degree examination of a recognized University with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (open category) and 45% marks (reserved category in Maharashtra only). In addition they need to have taken Maths as a subject at the 10 +2 level or at Graduation and must have appeared for MH-CET or test conducted by Maharashtra Association of MCA Institutes (MAMI).
SELECTION PROCEDURE:
The Selection for MCA will be according to the guidelines provided by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE).Students can avail the details from the DTE site dte.org.in
COURSE STRUCTURE:
The MCA Programme of the Pune University is a three year Programme, which follows the semester system and comprises of two semesters in a year. VIth semester consists of a project in the industry.
