M. Sc. General Microbiology Eligibility A pass in Bachelors degree in any life science subject / B.Tech ., Biotechnology / Chemical Science / Physical Science / Agricultural Science / Food and nutrition science / B.pharm., M.B.B.S, B.D.S, B.VSc . The department of Microbiology & Bioinformatics offers B.Sc ., M.Sc Microbiology ., M.Sc Applied Microbiology., M.Sc Bioinformatics & Research programme like M.Phil & Ph.D (Part time and full time). It has dedicated, experienced and highly qualified teachers. The department laboratory is well equipped with modern, sophisticated and imported instrument like HPLC, COD incubator, Fermentor, Sonicator, UV spectrophotometer, Vacuum concentrator, ice crystal making machine, -80°C deep freezer, which will meet the international standard. There are separate inoculation hoods, preparation and washing area of Microbiological needs. Students are given academic industrial training programme. The Department offers value added programme like nutrition and Dietary management, Plant and Animal Biotechnology, Bioinformatics and clinical Microbiology. We train the students to meet the industrial and medical demands and to become self entrepreneurs in the field of Mushroom cultivation, Vermi composting, Biofertilisers and Biopesticides.
