The department of Technical and Applied Chemistry has been established to make students proficient in basic applied chemistry. This subjects is common for all first year bachelor's degree students. the department also conducts a variety of courses in the areas of cosmetics, foods, drugs, and paints at the diploma and post graduate levels.
In addition to research work, the department also conducts industrial testing in the fields of textiles, paints, detergents, cements and other materials.
