Bachelor of Technology (BTech Bio Engineering)

B.Tech Bio Engineering- combining biology and medicine with engineering and hence highly interdisciplinary, is a developing field of study.Bioengineers apply mathematical and scientific principles to design, develop and evaluate biological and health systems. They develop hospital equipment, such as diagnostic aids and life-support and medical information systems, and prosthetic and orthotic devices.The B.Tech. course in the discipline provides a strong foundation for postgraduate studies in the field of electronics and biomedical engineering, biometrics, bioinformatics and related disciplines.The subject has many areas of specialisation, such as bioinstrumentation, biomaterials, tissue engineering, biomechanics, clinical engineering, orthopaedic bioengineering, medical imaging and rehabilitation engineering.
