Diploma In Elementary Education (DEEd)

Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) programme has been designed and developed by the University in the light of NCTE guidelines with the academic support of experts from DEC and IGNOU, besides local experts, and submitted to the NCTE through ASSA Mission. The NCTE has given approval to the programme. The duration of the programme is two years. The Bachelor in Elementary Education is an Undergraduate Professional Degree Course in India. The course is designed to prepare teachers for the elementary stage of education that is for classes I - VIII this covers children of 6 to 14 years of age group. The program preparing candidates who are able to continuously assess and improve their professional practice as teacher. The discipline is design under the broad area of, Child Studies, Education and Contemporary Studies, Curriculum and Pedagogic Studies (Including Teaching Practice and School Internship) and Holistic Development.

Eligibility

The candidates have to passed their Higher Secondary (10+2) Education or an Equivalent Examination, for any stream are eligible for to get admission in this program.

Course Duration & Learning Mode

This Bachelor Professional Degree Course requires 2 years of time period.It’s a Full Time Degree Course, but in India students can also go with Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) or Distance Learning Program.

Further Studies

Candidates have interested in higher studies can pursu for Master of Education (M.Ed) in any Indian Universities or Teacher Training Institutes offering the courses. The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) is the statutory body which regulating Teachers Training Program in Country.
