Course Details:

Master in Mass Communication and Multimedia Production (MCMP), is a three to four years postgraduate Mass Communication and Multimedia degree course in India. The study emphasis on the areas of Mass Communication and Journalism, Photography, Electronics, and Computer Science besides the English Language.

The course is designed to develop an understanding of the concept of mass communication on one side and the concept of contemporary technologies employment for communication on the other side, the program not only teach the craft of effective communication skills to the candidates but also train them to use computer effects as a tool of communication.

The master's course prepares candidates to join News Organization like Newspaper, Magazines, Television and Radio, the study develops the skills such as managing online communication, interpreting data on public behavior, crowdsourcing for information, interacting with the public etc.

The study is focused on theoretical and practical aspects of Principles and Techniques in an academic discipline such as,Mass Communication, Mass Media and Development, Digital Divide and Information Sharing, Traditional Media and Theatre, Micro Level Media, Contemporary Trends in Print Media,Relevance of Various Laws, Ethics in Media, Communication Research, Media Research, Marketing Research, Radio Broadcasting, Broadcasting Technology.

Eligibility

The candidate have to complete Bachelor Degree like, Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Mass Media (BMM), Bachelor in Journalism & Mass Communication (BJMC) or any other Bachelor Degree with relevant subjects, or equivalent examination,with minimum aggregate 55% marks, such candidates are eligible to take admission in Master’s degree professional study program.

Course Duration / Learning Mode

This course requires study requires 3 to 4 years of time period in India, It’s a Full Time professional degree course, but some candidates use part time, correspondence education program and also go for distance learning study option to earn this degree.

After the successful completion of Master’s of study program one can have excellent career opportunities in the field of Journalism and Mass Media Production, in Private and Government sector like Legal Affairs Department, Press Information Bureau, Advertising Agency, Filmmaking, Public Relation, Corporate Communication, Newspaper, Television Channels, Central Information Services.
