Master of Technology (MTech)

Master of Technology(M.Tech) - The Master of Technology (Information Technology) is a 12 unit Masters program which provides introductory and advanced studies in IT including specializations in Software Development or Information Systems Analysis and Management.The Master of Professional Studies in Technology Management program is geared to provide students with the tools and experiences needed to join the ranks of “big thinking” IT professionals who are leading customer-driven technological innovations that help organizations maximize their bottom lines. Master of Technology (M.Tech), is a two-year Postgraduate Technical Master’s Degree Program in India. The advanced technical study emphasized in-depth concept related to technical skill, orientation, and theoretical research. It is known as Masters in Engineering Technology it's a skill oriented advanced study program focused on practical exposure of conceptual knowledge. In India (AICTE) All India Council of Technical Education, (UGC) University Grand Commission and Government of India are responsible for approving Engineering Colleges and Branches / Courses. Those Universities which have been approved by theses bodies can award master’s degree which are legally valid and accepted as qualifiers for jobs in the Central, State Government and also in Private Sector. The course is suitable for those candidates wants to accelerate their profession with higher studies and wants to upgrade their knowledge and technical skills, whether they may be from any stream like Chemical, Civil, Industrial, Mechanical Software, Electronic Engineering. Candidates can pursue Master of Technology (M.Tech), and go specialization in fields like Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Infrastructure System, Instrumentation Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Automobile Engineering, etc.

Eligibility

The candidate who have completed Bachelor Degree like Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech), or an Equivalent Examination with minimum 50% marks, such candidates are eligible to take admission in master's study program. Selection is based on merit.

Course Duration

This course requires 2 years of the time period in India. It’s a full-time degree course, but some student uses part-time and distance learning educational program in certain criteria.

Further Studies

After the successful completion of master’s degree course, candidates can pursue for, M.Phil, Ph.D. (Doctorate of Philosophy) Degree or do specialization and research oriented work in Nuclear Power Center, Aeronautical Firms, Chemical Industries, Defence Services and also for Quality Testing Laboratories.
