Master of Science (MSc Industrial Microbiology)

M.Sc Industrial Microbiology- M.Sc Industrial Microbiology is a postgraduate microbiology course. The M.Sc. Course in Microbiology is designed to equip students with theoretical knowledge and practical skills in industrial microbiology and environmental biotechnology.Antibiotic production by soil actinomycetes, Molecular microbiology, control of enteric pathogen that contaminate fresh products, Antimicrobial activity of phytomedicinal plant extracts, Screening of pathogenic organisms from Hospital area, sterility testing of distilled water and normal saline and extraction of single cell proteins. Research projects on bioremediation of heavy metals from industrial effluents and biodiversity studies for exploration of significant microorganisms are also underway.
