Doctor of Philosophy (PhD in Population Studies)

Ph.D in Population Studies - The doctoral programme is designed to prepare students for professional leadership in the field of population well as for pursuing academic career.A Ph.D. student is required to undertake an original research topic selected by him/her in consultation with the guide. The research proposal will be discussed and its feasibility would be examined in a student faculty seminar by a committee constituted by the board of studies and research on the recommendation of the guide who will be convener of the committee.A Ph.D. student should make at least two presentations related to the topic of the Ph.D. research during his/her on going research work in a faculty student seminar of the institute, in addition to the proposal and synopsis presentations. These two presentations must be made by the students before permitted to present his/her synopsis of Ph.D. work.
