Post Graduate Diploma in Book Publishing - The programme is meant to provide an opportunity for self employment to aspiring/practicing publishing professionals for skill upgradation/skill acquisition in various aspects of publishing.The programme aims at training aspiring publishing professionals in marketable skills in the various areas of publishing, including specialized editing, copyediting and proof reading online, marketing, distribution, sales, etc. The unique aspect of the programme is the month-long training/ apprenticeship at a publishing house which carries a small stipend and the possibility of employment thereafter. The training is under the auspices of the Federation of Indian Publishers (FIB) with whom Ignou has a tie-up and trainees would get a Joint Certificate from both Ignou and the FIB on successful completion of the training.
