Pre Sea Modular Courses

Pre-Sea Modular Course Department is one of the earliest departments of AMET. Standards of Training, Certification, and Watch keeping (STCW) 78 as amended, requires all seafarers to receive familiarization and basic safety training or instruction. The Basic Safety Training course is mandated by ALL flag States for all working seafarers. Basic Safety Training focuses on basic safety skills and knowledge in order to provide a framework for safe working practices, emergency procedures and teamwork within the maritime environment. The five courses below make up the minimum STCW familiarization and basic safety training requirements: D.G. Shipping Approved Courses Fire Prevention & Fire Fighting(FPFF) Personal Survival Techniques(PST) Personal Safety & Social Responsibilities(PSSR) Elementary First Aid (EFA) Security Training for Seafarers with designated Security Duties(STSDSD)
