IIM Amritsar PhD Admission 2024 – The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Amritsar is welcoming applications for admission to the Doctoral (PhD) Program, offered in various specializations for the academic year 2024-25.

Important Dates

  • Online Application Window opens on or before November 16, 2023.
  • Due Date for submitting Completed Application Forms is February 15, 2024.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Master’s degree or Post Graduate Diploma or its equivalent in any discipline with first class.
  • B.Tech. / 4 Years Degree with 6.5 CGPA or equivalent.
  • Any professional qualification such as CA/ ICWA/ CS/CFA- Level-II (USA) with a graduate degree in the relevant subject with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks or an equivalent grade point average.
  • Candidates appearing for their final year of Master’s / Bachelor’s examination in the current academic year may also apply, with provisional admission subject to successful completion of all requirements before June 30, 2024.

  • Upload a recent color photograph (passport size) and the qualifying examination’s scorecard (in PDF format).

Application Fee

  • For SC/ST: Rs 1000/-
  • For Differently-abled candidates (certified by competent authority): Rs 1000/-
  • For General/OBC/EWS: Rs 1500/-
  • Mode of Payment: Through Online mode

Selection Procedure

  • Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria must take the Common Admission Test (CAT). Alternatively, those with GATE, GMAT, GRE, JRF (UGC/CSIR) (in the respective specialization) can apply. Scores from these exams (including CAT) taken on or after July 1, 2022, will be considered valid.
  • Short-listed candidates will be called for a personal interview (including Research Aptitude Test and Written Analysis Test) in March/April 2024.
  • Successful candidates will receive admission offers by the end of May 2024.
