IIT Jammu is a public research university located in Jammu, Jammu and Kashmir, India. It is one of the newest IITs, established in 2016. It is recognized as an "Institute of National Importance" under the "Institutes of Technology Act" of 1961. The university is a relatively young but growing institute with a focus on engineering and research.

Eligibility

Admission to IIT Jammu's undergraduate programs is based on the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced exam. Students must have secured at least 75% marks in Class XII (or 65% for SC/ST/PwD) or be within the category-wise top 20 percentile in their respective Class XII board examination to be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced.

Admission Process

The admission process for IIT Jammu is conducted through the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counseling process. Students who qualify JEE Advanced can participate in the JoSAA counseling and choose IIT Jammu and their preferred program based on their rank and seat availability.
