Institute of Mental Health and Hospital (IMHH), Agra, is inviting online applications from eligible candidates for admission to the M.Phil program in Clinical Psychology for the Academic Year 2024.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must hold a Master’s Degree in Psychology from a recognized University by UGC with not less than 55% marks in the aggregate for General Category. For SC/ST/OBC Category, a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate is essential. Affiliation: The course is affiliated with Dr. H.R. Ambedkar University, Agra.

Application Procedure

Candidates have the option to apply through Offline and Online modes. Applicants are required to submit an Application Fee as detailed below:

  • General candidates: Rs. 1500/-
  • SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates of U.P: Rs. 750/-

General Instructions:

  • Incomplete or late applications, including online applications, will not be considered.
  • Candidates must attach their final MA/M.Sc mark sheet with the application form to be considered for the entrance examination.
  • All claims made in the application must be supported by self-certified supporting documentary proofs.
  • Employees of State Governments/Central Governments/Public Sector Undertakings/Autonomous Bodied Government Funded Organizations must submit their application through their employer or competent authority and provide a No Objection Certificate along with a declaration regarding salary payment during the training period.
  • The decision of the Director, Institute of Mental Health and Hospital, Agra, regarding selection and admission to the course, is final and binding.
  • Non-selected candidates will not receive any intimation from the Institute. The list of selected candidates will be posted on the notice board of IMHH and uploaded on the Institute's website.
  • Admitted M.Phil candidates must submit a migration certificate from the last attended university.
  • Admitted candidates must adhere to professional standards, good conduct, participate in all assignments, seek written permission for leave, and comply with Institute, University, and hostel regulations.

Selection Process: Selection is based on a written examination.

Entrance Exam:

  • The written test will consist of 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
  • Total time allocated for the written test is 90 minutes.
  • There is no negative marking.
  • The final result depends on the score obtained in the written test.

Syllabus & Regulations:

  • The syllabus and regulations approved by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, Agra, are applicable.
  • The course is approved by the Rehabilitation Council of India, New Delhi.
  • Reservation follows the rules of the Government of UP.

Fee Structure:

  • Admission Fee: Rs. 2,000/-
  • Yearly Fee: Rs. 50,000/- (to be paid each year at the commencement of the course)
  • One Time Caution Money: Rs. 5,000/- (refundable)
  • Hostel Fee: Rs. 10,000/- per year (for candidates opting for hostel accommodation)
  • Enrollment Fee, Exam Fee, and any other fees prescribed by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, Agra, are to be paid separately.

Stipend:

  • Stipend will be paid to admitted candidates as per Agra rules for a maximum period of two years.
  • In-service candidates can choose between stipend or salary if offered by the employer and must inform the Director, IMHH accordingly.

Hostel Accommodation:

  • Hostel Accommodation:Hostel accommodation is subject to availability.
  • Candidates must pay hostel accommodation and other prescribed charges as per IMHH.
