The Indian Culinary Institute (ICI) operates autonomously under the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. With campuses located in Tirupati and NOIDA, it was founded by the Government of India to offer a range of programs in Culinary Art, spanning from basic skill levels to advanced studies. Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must have passed the 10+2 system of Senior Secondary examination or its equivalent from a recognized Board/Council.
  • General and OBC candidates must have obtained a minimum of 50%, while SC and ST candidates should have secured at least 45% in their 10+2 or equivalent examination.
  • Applicants currently appearing in the 10+2 or equivalent examinations are also eligible to apply.
  • Provisional admission will be nullified if proof of passing the qualifying examination (10+2 or its equivalent) with the required percentage of marks is not submitted by the admission deadline, which is the latest by September 30, 2024.
  • Admission offers are subject to the verification of original certificates/documents at the time of admission. If a candidate is found ineligible later, even after admission to the Institute, their admission will be revoked.

Qualifying Examination (10 + 2) Level for Indian Students:

  • General and OBC candidates must have scored a minimum of 50%, while SC and ST candidates should have secured at least 45%.

Age Limit:

  • For candidates from the General and OBC categories, the upper age limit is 22 years as of July 1, 2024. Candidates born on or after July 1, 1999, are not eligible. In the case of Scheduled Caste, PD, and Scheduled Tribe candidates, the upper age limit is 27 years as of July 1, 2024. SC/ST candidates born on or after July 1, 1994, are not eligible.

Application Process

  • Candidates are required to apply online through the website www.thims.gov.in.
  • The Information Brochure can be downloaded from the website www.thims.gov.in, and online applications will be accepted from January 15, 2024, to May 15, 2024.
  • It is essential to exercise caution while filling out the application form, as requests for changes, corrections, or modifications will not be entertained.
  • The printout of the online Application Form must be sent via Registered Post/Speed Post. Applications received after the deadline via Registered/Speed Post will not be considered. Alternatively, applications can be submitted by hand at ICI, NOIDA, or via email at [email protected]. The deadline for receipt of Application Forms at ICI, NOIDA, is May 15, 2024.

Application Fee

  • Application Fee :- Rs. 1000/-
  • Full refund is permitted (except the admission fee of Rs.1000/-) on cancellation of admission.
  • No Refund is applicable (except Caution Money Rs.2500/-) after commencement of 1st semester classes.

Selection Process

  • In the event of a tie, preference will be given to the candidate with a hiand to apply online, pleasegher CUET score over the IGNTU-ICI JEE score.
  • Spot admissions will be available for vacant seats after the completion of the aforementioned admission processes, and they will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Admission offers are contingent upon the verification of original certificates/documents at the time of admission.
