KMAT 2024 will be held on 16 November 2024. The Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) is a State level MBA entrance exam. The Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) is a State level MBA entrance exam. This state-level MBA entrance exam is conducted by the Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association (KPPGCA) for admission to MBA, PGDM, and MCA programs in 169+ member B Schools located in Karnataka.

What is KMAT exam?

KMAT stands for Karnataka Management Aptitude Test, an exam conducted at the state level by the Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association (KPPGCA). This test serves as a gateway for admission into MBA, PGDM, and MCA programs offered by 169+ member B Schools affiliated with KPPGCA in Karnataka.

Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) is a standardised test being administered since 2003 to facilitate Post Graduate Institutions to screen candidates for admission to MBA, PGDM ad MCA courses. Any Post Graduate Institution within the state can consider KMAT Score as an admission input based on the Score Cards issued to the candidates.

KMAT scores are being released to both Management Institutions and Students. The purpose of KMAT is to provide information to institutions on a candidate’s aptitude and skills to cope up with a post graduate program. It therefore assists in making decisions pertaining to admissions to institutions. KMAT scores is one of the sources of information and should be used whenever possible in combination with other information prior to admissions.

Eligibility

Eligibility for KMAT

Entry requirements into professional courses like MBA/PGDM/MCA in Karnataka are followed as per the UGC guidelines.

MBA/PGDM

Bachelors degree with minimum 3 years duration/ Masters degree examination of any recognised education body in Commerce, Management, Arts, Social Sciences, Engineering/ Technology or equivalent, and have secured at least 50% of marks in the aggregate (45% for SC/ST candidate). Candidates in their final year of bachelor’s degree are also eligible.

MCA

Bachelor’s degree with 50% marks. Candidates should have studied Maths at   10+2   stage or at graduation level..
