Admission Notification for Diploma Course in Guidance & Counselling
The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) is pleased to announce a one-year Diploma course for training professionals in guidance and counselling. This course combines distance and face-to-face modes to provide comprehensive training.

Course Details
No. of seats: Maximum 50 per study centre
Duration:
- Phase I Guided Self-learning: 6 months (Distance)
- Phase II Intensive Practicum: 3 months (Face-to-Face)
- Phase III Internship: 3 months (in Home Town)
Eligibility
Candidates who are eligible for this course include:
- In-service teachers– graduates with teaching degree.
- Candidates ‘presently not working’ – graduation with teaching degree and at least two years of teaching or related experience.
- Postgraduates in psychology/ education/ social work/ child development/special education. Preference will be given to those with at least one year of teaching or related experience.
Course Fee
The course fee varies depending on the candidate’s affiliation:
- Government deputed from centrally funded organisations: Rs.19,500/
- Government deputed from State/UT departments: Rs.6,000/-
- Private candidates: Rs.30,000/-
