National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) conducting the Regional Institute of Education Common Entrance Examination (RIE CEE) portal. RIE Common Entrance Examination (CEE) conducted for admission in B.Sc. B.Ed. (Four Year Integrated), B.A. B.Ed. (Four Year Integrated), M.Sc. Ed. (Six Year Integrated), B.Ed. (Two Year) and M.Ed. (Two Year) which is run at the Regional Institute of Education (RIE) in Ajmer, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Mysore and Shillong.

Courses

Eligibility Criteria

  • RIE CEE has provided different courses and Eligibility Criteria is given below :
  • B.Ed.: Candidates with at least 50% marks in Bachelor’s Degree and /or in the Master’s Degree in Science/ Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science or Mathematics or in Bachelor’s Degree and /or in the Master’s Degree in Social Science/Humanities are eligible for admission to the program (relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ ST/PwD candidates)
  • B.A. B.Ed.: +2/Senior Secondary / Higher Secondary or Equivalent in Science/Commerce/Arts with at least 50% marks in aggregate of qualifying exam (relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ ST/PwD candidates)
  • B.Sc. B.Ed.: Candidates seeking admission to Physical Science Group must have passed Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) (Mathematics includes Mathematics or Statistics) and those seeking admission to Biological Science Group (CBZ) must have passed Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) (Biology includes Biology or Biotechnology) at +2 level.
  • Must have passed +2/Sr. Sec. or any equivalent exam recognized by university / Board with at least 60% marks (55% for SC candidates of Haryana only). The exam should be recognized by MDU Rohtak affiliated to the University of Prarambh.
  • M.Ed.: M.Ed. Program should have obtained at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade (relaxation by 5% for SC/ST/PwD Candidates) in B.Ed. / B.A.Ed./ B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed./B.El.Ed./D.El.Ed. (with bachelor’s degree in Arts/Science)
  • M.Sc.Ed.: M.Sc. Ed (Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics) must have passed with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics at +2 level. Candidate must have passed +2/Hr. Sec/Sr. Sec or any equivalent exam recognized by University / Board with at least 50% marks in aggregate to the qualifying exam. The qualifying exam should be recognized by the affiliating university of RIE, Mysuru.

Application Process

  • Applicant, you are welcome to the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) Common Entrance Exam (CEE) – 2025 online application form submission portal at www.cee.ncert.gov.in or https://cee.ncert.gov.in/
  • It is advised to check Eligibility Criteria for RIE CEE courses before applying. Candidates can use their valid Email Id and Mobile number to register themselves.
  • To complete the process, the Application Fee can be submitted online. In addition, as per the Eligibility and interest Candidates can choose to apply for more than one course.
  • Candidates must check all the details mentioned in the form carefully.

Steps to be followed

  • Registration – Register yourself by following the link “Registration Form” in the CEE 2025 website at https://cee.ncert.gov.in. The last date for registration. For the
    Registration you need a valid e-mail id & mobile number
  • User Credentials: After you complete the registration you will be send a onetime
    password/user credentials to the registered mobile.
  • Login: Login to the CEE-2025 website at https:// HYPERLINK
    “http://www.cee.ncert.gov.in/”cee.ncert.gov.in using user name/e-mail id and the password
    sent to your registered mobile number.
  • Registration Number: On login you will be able to see your registration number and user
    name on the top right hand corner.
  • Applicant’s Index Page: On login you will see the applicant’s Index Page. Please read the
    instructions given there carefully and click Next
  • Applicants Basic Details Page: This will take you to the applicant’s basic details page. Please
    fill the details here. If you are physically handicapped remember to choose the category, if
    you are applying for Prarambh, Jhajjar, Haryana select the category, if you are from
    Hyderabad Karnataka remember to select the same. NTSE awardee should mention the year
    of passing. Then click Save & Next.
  • Confirm the Data: This will take you to the Confirm Screen/page asking you to check all the
    basic information data provided by you. If you are satisfied, you can proceed by clicking OK
    if not please click cancel button and make the necessary correction. Once you click
    “SUBMIT” button, you will not be able to make any further changes in the “Basic
    Information Page” If everything is correct please check the box indicating that “I have
    checked all the basic information provided by me and is correct” and then click the “SUBMIT”
    button
  • Exam Centre and Programme Details Page: This will take you to the exam centre and
    programme details page.
  • Select your choice of exam center (you have three choice)
  • Select the appropriate State /UT against which you are seeking admission. As a proof of
    eligibility of State/ UT for admission the candidate has to produce any one of the following
    documents:
  • Evidence of having passed the qualifying examination from the State/ UT as given in the
    advertisement.
  • In case of legal guardian / parents is an employee of State/ Central Govt./ Govt. of India
    undertaking/ Autonomous bodies the latest certificate of place of posting in the State/ UT
  • A domicile certificate from the competent authority.

Fee Structure

The fee for entrance examination is applicable to all the candidates as per the rate shown below:

  • For General/OBC Category Students Rs.1200/-
  • For SC/ST Category Students Rs.600/-
  • For Person with Disablity (PwD) of any category Students Rs.600/-
  • For Economically Weaker Section Candidates Rs.600/-

  • Group C: M.Ed

The exam pattern is as follows-

  • Mode of Exam: Online
  • Number of Questions – There are 80 questions in the entrance exam.
  • Duration: 120 minutes
  • Language: English & Hindi
  • Number of Test Booklets: One set of Booklet for each group
  • Marking Scheme: 2 marks for correct answers, 0.5 marks of negative marking for wrong answers, No marks for unattended questions
  • Levels of Question Paper: Higher/SSC Level, Graduation Level, Professional Education Level
