UP Post Basic B.Sc Nursing (UP CNET) Eligibility Criteria
Age: –
- Minimum age for admission is 17 years on or before 31st December 2023
Minimum qualifications for admission are as per INC Regulation: –
a. Candidates should have passed Higher Secondary or Senior Secondary or Intermediate (12th
Standard examination) or (10+2) or an equivalent exam recognized by the University for this
purpose. Those who have done 10+1 in or before 1986 will be eligible for admission.
b. Obtained a certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) and registered as R.N.R.M. with the State Nurses Registration Council of Uttar Pradesh (UP Nurses and Midwives Council).
c. For candidates who have obtained a certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) and
registered as R.N.R.M. with the State Nurses Registration Council outside Uttar Pradesh state will
be eligible if their institution/college is recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
d. A male nurse, trained before the implementation of the new integrated course besides being
registered as a nurse with State Nurses Registration Council, shall produce evidence of training
approved by Indian Nursing Council for a similar duration in lieu of midwifery in any one of the
following areas:
1) O.T. Techniques
2) Ophthalmic Nursing
3) Leprosy Nursing
4) TB Nursing
5) Psychiatric Nursing
6) Neurological and Neuro surgical Nursing
7) Community Health Nursing
8) Cancer Nursing
9) Orthopaedic Nursing
e. Colour blind candidates are eligible provided that colour corrective contact lens and spectacles are
worn by such candidates.
f. Candidate shall be medically fit
g. Married candidates are also eligible for admission
UP Post Basic B.Sc Nursing (UP CNET) Examination Fee
- Candidates for the entrance test will have to pay a fee of Rs. 3000/- for Unreserved/Other
Backward Classes (UR/OBC) and Rs. 2000/- for SC/ST/PwD. - Examination Fee shall be submitted online after successful online registration of candidate.
- Once the fee has been submitted there shall be no refund of fee.
- Fee is non-transferable for any other examination.
